Eyes on the horizon

Estuary sunset, Ile Tudy, Bretagne

I planted bulbs today. Tomorrow we’re off to France for 4 days in Brittany and then a long drive to visit Vichy in the heart of the nation, returning to England just as British Summer Time ends.  November holds the promise of cosy evenings by the fire revisiting the photographs of a vibrant summer, re-evaluating and resting, celebrating and choosing priorities as this year ends and a new one begins.  It’s all good – or as Mumford and Sons say, ‘I was told by Jesus all was well – so all must be well’.

Even though those small brown bulbs are hidden and will pass through frost and thaw and snow in the cold months in the dark, there will be red tulips at the right time.  Thanks for joining me on the journey as we walk through winter to another spring.
