28 years later

Martin and I were married 28 years ago on 18th September.  Seems like a lot of years!  We can’t really remember life before being together and wouldn’t want to.  And there have been so many different phases as we have moved around and grown up through it all.  It will be on the My Story page eventually.

Anyway, here he is on our honeymoon, 28 years ago, when I first introduced him to the Isles of Scilly.  It has become part of our hearts and memories and today we are flying back to those lovely islands to celebrate in style for a long weekend.  What a treat!  Bryher was my favourite island when I was a child and this time we are staying there in the Hell Bay Hotel.  Sounds scary, but isn’t – unless there’s a huge storm!  Martin quite hopes there will be, but he hasn’t smoked his pipe for years, so won’t need to shelter behind big rocks out of the wind to get it to light, though if it rains he might have trouble keeping his glasses clean.  Let’s hope the sun shines and we’ll see the islands at their glorious best!

Happy anniversary, darling.  The world always looks more colourful with you X

I’ll be back online next week.
